Mutant Flowers Growing Near Japan’s Fukushima Nuclear Disaster. But wait, there’s more!

It’s been about 4-years since the nuclear disaster at Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant, and photos recently posted to a twitter account (@san_kaido) have created a stir.

As you can see, these are not ordinary looking daisies.

According to the tweeter, the daisies have been affected by the radiation exposure, while others say that it can be caused by a rare hormonal imbalance called fasciation (or cresting).

The original tweet read:

TMNTDonatello2012

Donatello peforms for our cameras after learning there might be a mutant more famous than himself in Japan.

Which, when loosely translated by me means:

“These here flowers are pretty messed up – betcha it’s from the nuclear power plant disaster.”

When one of Japan’s leading mutants, Donatello, was asked for an opinion, he was quick to point out that there are only 4 confirmed mutants and “we ain’t daisies, dude.”

Obviously flumaxed by the worldwide attention the mutant flowers were getting, the mutant Ninja turtle sprang into an intense routine with his Bo Staff.

Unfortunately, no other mutant ninja turtles were available for comment (rumor has it they were in the depths of a jelly bean and sausage pizza binge).

Do you think this strange crop of flowers is related to the nuclear disaster?

Before you answer, keep in mind that there are lots of freaky things going on out there. Case in point: the double-headed calf born in Georgia.
